Little Falls NY is known around the world as the locality for scepter crystals. A Little Falls Scepter represents two different and distinctive periods of crystal growth. An anthraxolite rod forms first, with a Little Falls Diamond as a secondary growth that covers a portion of the rod. These crystals are extremely rare, and the majority of them are found in Little Falls NY. There are currently no public digs for these crystals.
